Engine & Drivetrain

These Corvettes always had performance under the hood and ours has the original HE suffix 300 horsepower 327 cubic inch engine that is untouched and has never tampered with (all correct numbers in place with the vin#).

It has orange painted engine block, valve covers, and intake, 4-barrel carb, chrome open air cleaner, factory cast iron Rams Head exhaust manifolds, factory chrome shielded distributor, with all sitting in a great looking engine compartment and chassis with all the right parts, you will know that this Corvette was built right and meant to run.

The 4-speed transmission is also the original with the cars VIN correctly stamped onto the side case.

The rear differential is correctly dated and is believed to be the original. Its rare to find a car where the entire drive train is correct and original but in this case its all original and numbers matching.

This car runs and drives great with strong power, smooth solid brakes.

Interior

The dark green interior is also in beautiful condition with the factory dash being very original and in spectacular condition. The gauges are crisp and in good working condition along with the original clock, radio and horn.

The seats, door panels are all in great condition and have been replaced due to age. Overall, the interior is very fresh looking nice.

The new Al Knock top that is dated correctly for the car. The combination of Mosport green, dark green interior, tan top and Gold line tires are very striking and rare.

The center console houses the 4-speed shifter with the radio in place there too.

Exterior

The exterior of the car is beautiful and has that Mosport Green paint and both the body and paint work on this car is high quality. All of the body panels are straight and align very good for a roadster.

The paint work is base/clear and is highly polished to a mirror finish with the chrome being professionally re-chromed and is better than new quality. Stainless, emblems and brightwork is all in beautiful condition. All the glass in this car is dated original too.

The undercarriage is also not rusty anywhere. This car is a western car and has never been subject to a corrosive climate. The rear suspension has been rebuilt with coated swing arms, bearings, tie rods and bushings.

All four brake calipers and shocks have also been replaced. The exhaust system from the manifolds back is new stainless-steel pipe with correct looking e stainless mufflers with chrome tips through the valance.

The hubcaps are show quality restored and the wheels have new BFGoodrich Silvertown Goldline tires and the original jack, jack handle and spare tire/wheel are in place.

Conclusion

More than ever, the 1966 Corvette Roadster we have here at Adventure Classics is luxurious transportation for two, backed by the potent small block V8 engine and 4-speed transmission that will give you a different kind of driving experience than maybe you ever had.

It looks super with the paint, a super nice driver that will hold its value very well. It is a numbers matching and desirable color combination, low mileage and restored to a very high...yet use able level.
