1966 Plymouth Belvedere II
Car History
This 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II we have here at Adventure Classics
was designed to be lean and fast when it was new and a lot of hot
rodders back then raced in drag race competition and on the street
with these big block engines in these cars that was a
take-no-prisoners piece with an attitude that made these cars so
successful in the glory years of the muscle car era.
Today they're red-hot collector's items. Ours has the 383 cubic
inch engine (Code G in the VIN number), dealer installed air
conditioning, special order paint code 999 shown on original fender
tag represents a special paint (Petty Blue) that was Only offered
on Plymouth, only in the Southeast region of the US, and it has
been in the same family since new, only changed registration once
in 1973, to a family member.
This car has 35,000 miles and runs like it is still new. This would
be a good car to add to a collection and we have the original
CERTICARD plate, original finance contract , dealer invoice, build
sheet, broadcast sheet, window sticker, and title since 1973.

This color evolved into a production color for 1972 and 1973.
This is one of possibly 3 Belvedere II's with 383 engine, a 4-speed
transmission, and painted this color. Chrysler Historical indicated
they knew of two so equipped this color and this is the 3rd
one!
Others have reported they have seen the same combination, but
further research indicated Belvedere I and Satellite with 318 cu in
engines may have been the examples reported, or they may have been
color changes after production.
