1970 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 NUMBER MATCHING, VINTAGE A/C,TEXAS
CAR! What a looker! This 1970 Chevelle SS looks amazing in factory
color code 28, Fathom Blue with white accent SS stripes running
down the hood and trunk lid. It certainly stands out from all of
the others. When I look down the sides it is absolutely laser
straight and has excellent fit and finish. The paint is smooth and
very glossy. Up front- the headlight bezels, grill and bumper look
amazing. All the stainless trim is polished like chrome. It has
newer weather stripping and door seals. It sits on a set of 14x7
factory SS Rally wheels with a set of Firestone Wide Oval tires for
that original look that it deserves. The engine compartment is
nicely detailed and original looking. It has a number matching 396
ci/350 hp L34 motor that has been completely rebuilt with a few
upgrades: HEI ignition, correct factory chrome valve covers and air
cleaner. Other features include: Vintage A/C that blows cold,
Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and carburetor, power steering,
Delco Moraine power brake booster with the correct master cylinder,
GM hoses with correct tower clamps, correct spring type battery
cables with the correct battery top, 4-core aluminum radiator with
dual electric fans. The engine compartment is finished in satin
black. It is very clean and tidy! The parchment bucket seat
interior really pops up against the Fathom Blue exterior.
Everything is like new. The seats have new upholstery and cushions.
It has newer carpet and sill plates. Looking at the dash, it is in
excellent condition. The Vintage A/C & heater controls slide with
ease, retro AM/FM radio and Sure Grip 3 spoke factory SS steering
wheel are in great condition. All the courtesy lights work. It also
offers aftermarket Chevelle SS floor mats and original GM Deluxe
front and rear seatbelts. The undercarriage is very clean metal.
The front suspension and steering has been rebuilt and detailed.
The bottom of the motor is spotless and so is the Turbo 400
transmission. Some features include: power steering, factory bucket
seats & console with horseshoe shifter, front power disc brakes,
new fuel & brake lines, new gas tank & straps, new sending unit,
12-bolt rear with 3:31 gears, F41 suspension and rear boxed in
control arms with sway bar. It also has a 2.5" dual exhaust system
that runs all the way out the back with the correct cowbell exhaust
tips. The E-brake assembly is complete and working. The underside
of this Chevelle is very impressive, same as the top side! The
trunk is finished with a light coat of splatter paint. It comes
complete with a trunk mat, correct spare tire, jack assembly and
new weather stripping. This Chevelle SS is as close as you can get
to new. It drives great, looks awesome and sounds even better!
