This 1979 Ford F250 Custom is a really clean and solid Dentside
that spent its life out west. This truck has been selectively
restored and it is a great running and driving truck. This truck is
a "Custom", but the Marti report shows it came from the factory
with 2 tone paint and extra moldings. This is a great looking F250.
The body on this truck straight, clean, and solid. When we purchase
it we were told that the Light Sand color was repainted and the
Dark Brown Metallic paint was original. The Dark Brown Metallic
paint still looks excellent and it does show some patina which is
cool. All of the chrome and stainless appears to be original and
still looks really nice. The bed is solid and was recently
professionally bedlined. The underside of this truck is very clean
and solid and we found no rust issues with this truck.
The interior of this truck is really nice. It has a new rubber
floor mat, a newly recovered seat, new door panels, and a new dash
cap. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are
all working. The gauges all work. This truck has tilt steering,
working heat, and working windshield wipers. The cruise is not
working and the horn works. A very clean and very nice
interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent!!! The engine is the 5.8L 351M
V8 that runs strong with no issues or redflags that we could find
and sounds great with Flowmaster exhaust. It recently had the rear
main seal, oil pan gasket, and valve cover gaskets replaced. We do
have a receipt for that work. The engine appears to be totally
stock. The transmission is the C6 Automatic that shifts nice and
was recently rebuilt in 2022 (have receipt). It is mated to the np
205 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle
is a Dana 60 with 3.54 gears and the front axle is a Dana 44 with
3.54 gears. This is all sitting on a set of original steel wheels
with all season tires size 235/85/16. This is a wonderful running
and driving classic Ford truck for someone.
