Details
This Japanese domestic market, right-hand drive 1992 Nissan Skyline GTR R32 was imported in 2022. The car is powered by a 2.6L turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine that is paired with a five-speed manual transmission, earning this car the nickname “Godzilla.” This example has been resprayed in the factory original gray color and then ceramic coated by the importer. The interior is a matching shade of gray cloth upholstery. Equipped with four-wheel steering and AWD, the car is competent in a variety of conditions. Amenities include power windows, locks, and mirrors, along with A/C. The odometer shows 75,369 km (46,832 miles) and the car was imported and sold at auction in 2022 to the current owner. It is located in Valparaiso, Indiana.
The third party photos and inspection show a nice exterior that only has wear consistent with mileage. The interior seats are still in good condition, and the photos do show wear on the steering wheel, shifter knob, and door panels. In addition, the A/C will need to be converted in order to get maximum efficiency. The radio is not fully functional, and the window washer jets are reported to be clogged. This low-mileage example runs and drives as it was designed to. A video of the engine running smoothly and walk around of the car is available. The tires are in good shape with plenty of tread left, and the interior features function appropriately. Included in the sale is a CarVX report and 1 set of keys.
This Nissan is being sold through a CLASSIC.COM Pro and is located in Valparaiso, IN.
About the model
Introduced in 1989, the Skyline GT-R was a performance-focused variant of the R32 Nissan Skyline. Commonly referred to as "Godzilla," the R32 GT-R saw a range of limited edition versions, such as the Nismo, V-Spec I, and V-Spec II, but the base model was still an incredibly capable car. The standard GT-R was anything but, featuring Nissan's legendary RB26DETT engine, which was a twin-turbocharged 2.6L inline six unit that was rated at 276hp, although actual power figures were higher. In addition to the RB26DETT, the GT-R was equipped with Nissan's HICAS four-wheel steering system, as well as the ATTESA all-wheel drive system. This highly capable chassis and drivetrain used a 5-speed manual transmission to send drive to the wheels. Production of the R32 Nissan Skyline Base Model lasted until 1994.
