How can I stop my running trainers from stinking the house out?

I'v been jogging as module of my boxing fitness regeme for about 2 years but only just this minute I'v been having this problem...
I run more or less 8 miles every morning before work, I'm quite lucky because I live give or take a few 5 mins away from some beautiful forestry and mountains, so thats where I stir running, with all the recent weighty rain etc my trainers have be getting much wetter than usual and this is causing them to smell really really bad when I win home and take them off surrounded by the lobby.
Is there any way I can stop this?
My girlfriend hate it and she often puts them outside in the patio where they get even wetter and therefor smellier!
She's going to put them surrounded by the bin if I don't sort it...
suggestions please?

Answers:    sprinkle them inside with baking soda it helps to hold your attention the smell..put some into a fabric bag and keep hold of inside when your not wearing them ...also you could spray with fabreeze and see if that will help possibly store them in a plastic box with a lid to hang on to the smell restricted
Spray them with deodorant or rinse with disinfectant such as Dettol, consequently put them in the clothes washing appliance. When you go jogging, put deodorant on your foot as it will help a little.

It's typical, as with most clothes when you exercise you wash them, but you're putting on alike shoes that you have sweat into. You could try getting trainers in stuff that let your skin breathe more as many are made of bits and pieces that just make your foot sweat more.
You're feet are obviously cause the problem. The trainers may be a lost cause and may want replacing once you have sorted the foot out. Smelly feet is caused by a mild fungal infection, clean the feet and dry them twice a day and apply an anti-fungal cream such as canestan, habitually used to treat thrush. I promise they will be sweet smelling feet in a couple of weeks. Dry them out really all right first, maybe in front of the clear oven door, or in the dryer on low heat- when your girlfriend isn't home, I guess.

Then next time you walk running, tie small/medium plastic bags over your feet, double up if they're delicate, and secure them around your shins (not too tight) with duct video. You'll need new plenty and more duct tape every time you go running, but it should work.

Use a accurate absorbent foot powder sprinkled in your shoes, that'll help out, too.

good luck!

p.s. - I wish it would precipitation here!
Surely you can build a small store box to put them in, but don't forget to leave some holes within each side of it just to expose, bung a nail in the wall and sway your box, he presto, JD buy some odour eaters for them they are insoles you can get them from the chemist or supermarkets and they really do work.i used to buy these for my son when he lived here, now its his wife's problem lol.
Personally I chuck mine within the washing machine - when herself isn't around - but that won't be an opportunity unless you've got another pair to wear while they dry. You can gain various sprays, alleged to deal next to this problem. You can buy scholl odour eater spray that you can spray into your trainers but because your trainers are getting wet then i doubt if it will totally costume the smell.
Every time your trainers get wet i would thoroughly dry them out.
ably, obviously you wear socks? if the insides of your trainers are wet it method they're letting in,unless've got the ones beside the mesh..so what id suggest is you get a leather twosome that wont let any water within theres nothing you can do about them getting damp unless you have holies in them. Get alien ones or wash them regularly. I've heard that some bathe them in the washing mechanism lol
Sprinkle the insides with bicarbonate of soda, it absorbs the smell and vacate them outside to air Washing them would help. You can find powder from the chemist like the stuff they use at a bowling alley. virtuous luck
sprinkle inside with bicarbonate of soda,,,, empty out since wearing, use trainer socks on ya feet, wash regularly and use foot deo,,,,, try chamomile and lavender or rosemary herb inside the trainers at night
Leave them in the shed update your trainer to do something about his or her body odor
wash them surrounded by the dishwasher or washer then let them nouns dry wash them and they want smell
