Answers: My son has a two bedroom failure terraced house and had his barge boards renewed surrounded by PVC also his guttering and down pipes renewed. the edging tiles on the gable end be fitted with plastic downfall caps so that he does not own to replace the coloured cement between the tiles and the roof and the first two rows of tiles on the front and back of the roof be removed and the roof re-felted then the tiles refitted for a total cost of 1500 pounds, an excellent opportunity well worth the money.
I would insist on you to go beside solid pvc boards, as they will not need to be painted every few years. Whatever you do, DON'T progress for the option of putting constricted pvc cladding over the top of your existing wooden boards, as over time the nails used to fix the pvc will lose their grip as the weak timber fascia beneath rots. Then when the boards get blown down during a storm your insurers will not clear for the damage as they will consider this wear & opening.
Don't forget to ask for a quote rather than an estimate, as this cannot be changed. Also, due to working at rise regulations, the contractor will almost certainly own to include scaffolding in his price.
