Can you use E85 gas contained by your boat or pasture mower undamagingly?



Answers:    ABSOLUTELY NOT! The parts in the fuel system on 99% of small engines can not run E85. The alcohol will ruin the plastic and rubber in the fuel system. Briggs & Stratton, Kohler and Tecumseh adjectives have said to not use E85.
E85 is 85% Ethanol and only 15% Gasoline . Cars that can run on E85 are call flex fuel vehicles and are set up to run a lower power producing fuel. More than likely you will obligation a tune-up to change the timming and a cooler rated spark plug and can expect smaller quantity power but it can be done. not good for older boat moters unless you upgrade your feul pump also
