Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Tribute is all about taking one of
the most aggressive 1960s designs and turning up the power,
intimidation, comfort, and overall desirability. That means a
midnight-style exterior, a custom A/C interior, four-wheel disc
brakes, a six-speed stick, and an awesomely upgraded suspension.
Plus, backing up this powerful-looking package is a modern LS3 V8.
So yes, this is the ultimate restomod muscle machine with all the
best upgrades.
The black paint is so dark, rich, and intimidating that it looks
like it tries to consume all the light around it. The shine that
does escape combines with the deleted badging and trim to let the
sunlight flow across the car almost uninterruptedly. We are told
the consignor has owned this coupe since 2010. He did the full
restoration/transformation, and so the low 6800 miles on the
odometer represents the few miles he has gone - signaling it has
spent most of those years being thoughtfully built and properly
cared for. You can see more of this reverence in the way it has a
fresh look in everything from the chrome bumpers to the good body
lines. The added Rally Sport's hidden headlight front end, power
dome cowl hood, and full-width rear spoiler give this first-gen
Camaro the right level of classic power style. And we know you love
the look of those upgraded dark Corvette 18-inch wheels. They add
to the blackout intimidation and give this the awesome stance that
you want on a well-done restomod.
The mean black attitude continues inside, and it also has the
unmistakable look of investment in performance. It starts with the
late-model Camaro high-back front bucket seats. They have terrific
bolstering for all-day comfort and are done in supple leather. This
was done with keeping comfort in mind. So the rear bench,
carpeting, headliner, dash, and working under dash lighting all
have a nice and inviting feeling. There are also nice features like
an armrest center console, cup holders, and cold-blowing air
conditioning. There's a proper driver's package with a Momo
wood-rimmed steering wheel, an Ididit tilt column, and ultra-cool
BonSpeed roulette-style gauges with speedo and tach.
You'll love popping the hood at car shows and showing off the
top-notch transplant of a modern 5th-gen Camaro motor. The
fuel-injected 6.2-liter LS3 V8 is a very cool powerplant to have.
They are good for well over 400 horsepower right out of the box,
and this one has been upgraded with Trickflow Cathedral port heads,
an LS1 Intake, a large aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and
a wicked set of long tube headers feeding the X-pipe dual exhaust.
Best of all, you have superior control over this big power V8 and
its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the Tremec T56 six-speed manual
transmission. And more than just power, this restomod has all the
right upgrades to be a great driver. There's now a Heidts tubular
A-arm front end and Caltracs bars in the rear. There's also power
steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and the grip of modern
performance tires.
This is a mean-looking, mean-sounding, and dominatingly powerful
custom Camaro. So if you want to own every inch of blacktop with
this black beauty, call today!
